This td. is situated near the E. of the parish. It is rounded on the N.W. by Ballymahon and Ballybranigan on the N. by Toome it Taghshinny Ph.; on the N.E. by Cloonkeen; and on the S.E. and S. by Newcastle and Clooncallow in Forgney Ph. and Creevaghmore and Creevaghbeg in Noughaval Ph.
It contains 451a. 1r. 18p., of which about 70 acres is bog, the remainder well cultivated. It is flat and dry, and the houses and roads are in good repair. There is about 13 acres of plantation, and it is bounded on the S. by the R. Inny. It pays �24 Co. Cess, and is the property of the Shouldham family.
