This townland is situated W. of Dunbeggan, and 5/8ofa mile S.E. from the Chapel in the townland of Aghnacliff. It contains 649 acres.
From the E.S.E. boundary of this td. the main road leading from St. Johnstown to Arvagh passes through the E.N.E. and near the E. boundary of this td., from which another road leads westwards that branches S.S.W. to Drumlish and W.N.W. to Carrigallen, having a church on the side of it. Nearly 1 (2?) mile W. of the east boundary and 11 chains N. of the S. boundary is an ancient fort. There are many small patches of bog in the td.; the remainder is tillage and pasture.
