Ballymahon Branch Library

Ballymahon Library exteriorThe newly refurbished Ballymahon Community Library is now open. The ground floor of the former courthouse houses the main library, complete with children’s corner, computer facilities, lending and reference library and soft seating area with, magazines and newspapers. Above, on the first floor is a large community hall, which doubles as a local studies room, complemented by two smaller meeting rooms.

Ballymahon My Open Library

Ballymahon Library is Longford’s first Open Library Pilot. The My Open Library initiative which commenced in Ballymahon Community Library in May 2019 offers extended opening hours by providing library access to Open Library Members from 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week, 365 days per year with regular staffed hours continuing on the normal opening hour schedule to ensure optimum delivery.
