There are a wide range of services available at our branch libraries to enrich and inform the lives of all our citizens including:

• Free internet and email access as well as a range of Microsoft programmes such as Word and Excel
• Language learning and life-long learning materials and literacy support.
• Interactive CD’s such as the  Driver Theory Test.
• Local studies and Reference collections.
• Events and activities, including language classes, basic internet classes, exhibitions and talks on a wide range of topics.
• Support for Business & Employment.

Ballymahon My Open Library 

Ballymahon Library is Longford’s first Open Library Pilot. The My Open Library initiative which commenced in Ballymahon Community Library in May 2019 offers extended opening hours by providing library access to Open Library Members from 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week, 365 days per year with regular staffed hours continuing on the normal opening hour schedule to ensure optimum delivery.
