American Dirt

by Jeanine Cummins

Just finished 'American Dirt' by Jeanine Cummins and it is worth a read. It is a subject that I had no previous knowledge of. The real dangers of living and working in Mexico and the cartels and drug wars that are a reality for people.

'American Dirt' tells the story of Lydia, a woman whose whole life has been upturned and she has to race across Mexico towards America with her young son Luca, after they both face nightmarish events.
