Expressions of Interest invited for 2024
The Longford Heritage Office is inviting costed expressions of interest from communities, heritage groups and others for grant support to undertake initiatives, or host events, that support research, public awareness and engagement with our shared heritage.
This includes projects and events for National Heritage Week 2024, taking place from Saturday 17 to Sunday 25 of August, including Wild Child Day and Water Heritage Day.

Projects and Events for National Heritage Week 2024
Applications for National Heritage events should be submitted prior to 26 July 2024. They must be registered on www.heritageweek.ie
The Heritage Council has lots of supports and tips for those wishing to undertake a project or host an event for National Heritage Week 2024 on their website. Click here to find out more.
National Heritage Week also host on their YouTube channel, a series of eight videos from their 2024 Training for Event Organisers. This includes discussions on organising Autism-friendly events, hosting Irish language events, and tips on promoting your project or event.

National Heritage Week events and projects should all include the correct National Heritage Week logos and branding. To download these, as well as templates for social media posts that can be edited using Canva.com, click here.
Should your event receive funding from Longford County Council, the Council must be acknowledged.
