County Longford Arts Service  

While the activities of the Arts Service are continually evolving as new and unanticipated opportunities to work with artists, arts organisations and community groups arise, the more structured role of the Arts Service involves: 

• Information Provision, Training, Mentoring and Advice: The Arts Service acts as a contact point for information on such issues as professional development, project planning, and funding opportunities for artists, arts organisations, and community groups. 
• Arts Festivals and Project development: Arts development is most successfully achieved by supporting projects developed and delivered by artists or arts groups. 
• Financial Support: A range of grant schemes are administered by the Arts Service to individuals and groups. 
• Networking and supports: Through a series of networking events, cross-collaboration with our neighbouring counties and shared island projects, there will be more opportunities for Longford-based creatives to thrive and network with others based in the Midland region.
