Library Development Programme 2021-2025

Longford County Council's Library Development Programme 2021-2025 outlines a mission, values, principles and objectives of the library service for the next 5 years. Under the Local Government Act 2001 each local authority has an obligation to prepare a Libraries Development Programme.

Longford County Council’s Library Development Programme 2021-25 highlights how integral and vital the library network and services are to both the Council and the County. It is informed by research, as well as key documents including the Longford County Council Corporate Plan 2019-2024 and the Our Public Libraries 2022 National Public Library Policy.

Longford County Council's Library Development Plan 2021-2025 was approved by the Elected Members of Longford County Council at the December 2021 Council meeting.
