Situated on the S.E. boundary of the parish, about 2� miles E. of Longford Town. Contains 687a. 2r. 20p.
The S. extremity of this td. is only partially cultivated, being composed of rough boggy land; the remainder is well cultivated, and is closely inhabited along the Mail Coach road leading from Longford to Edgeworthstown. Near the centre, and on the N. side of the road, there is a Roman Catholic Chapel, which is called Shraid Chapel.
