Youth Drama

Backstage Youth Theatre is based in Backstage Theatre and is operating since 1996. Membership is for young people aged 13 to 18 and is drawn mainly from County Longford.

BYT operate an annual programme of activities that include training, field trips, residentials and theatre productions. One of their main activities is their annual pantomime that takes place in January-February. BYT performs all their own original scripts and engages a professional director each summer to produce a play in collaboration with Backstage Theatre. In May, BYT regularly produce a charity fundraiser for which members write, direct, perform, choreograph, dance, sing, and play music.  For further information contact backstageyouththeatre@gmail.com
