Artist Residency Award

Opens for applications: 14.10.25 Closing date for applications: 02.12.25

Longford Arts Service are funding residency opportunities for three artists (two visual artists and a writer) to attend the Tyrone Guthrie Centre and the Cow House Studios. These residency opportunities are designed to support the development of professional artists who would benefit from dedicated time away in an appropriately resourced artist’s retreat.

The selected artists will spend one week at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre situated in the quiet countryside in County Monaghan and Cow House Studios in rural Wexford. The Tyrone Guthrie residency includes access to the grounds of the Tyrone Guthrie Centre, the Annaghmakerrig library and a communal drawing room which is used for collaborations, readings and talks. The Writer-in-Residence’s accommodation will be equipped with a writing desk and lamp. The Cow Shed Studios contains an open plan studio, a darkroom, computer lab and lounge. Residency fees will be paid directly by Longford Arts Service. Selected Artists will be offered a €100 allowance to cover residency travel costs.
