Granard Library
Granard Library
In 2014, then Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government Phil Hogan TD officiated at the reopening of Granard Library. The library is located in the old Market House building in the centre of the town.
The library welcomes members with an extensive selection of books for both children and adults. There is free WIFI and access to Microsoft Office programmes, such as Word and Excel, to help people at work or study.
Granard Library also offers eduroam. This is a WiFi service which enables students, researchers and employees from participating institutions to securely access the internet at their college or university and whilst visiting other participating institutions.
As with all Longford Libraries, Granard Library also offers access to many online resources, including the Ordnance Survey Maps Online, Griffiths Valuation, 1901 and 1911 Census Online.
