Lanesborough Library offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere for its members. With
The library welcomes members with an extensive selection of books for both children and adults. There is free WIFI, public PCs, and access to Microsoft Office programmes, such as Word and Excel, to help people at work or study.
As with all Longford Libraries, Granard Library also offers access to many online resources, including the Ordnance Survey Maps Online, Griffiths Valuation, 1901 and 1911 Census Online .

Highlight events include the many exhibitions, book launches, lectures and readings hosted by Lanesborough Library.
Lanesborough Library also hosts a Library Book Club for adults which meets on the last Friday of each month from 11am-12pm. New members are always welcomed.
A Knitting and Crochet Club meets at Lanesborough Library every Monday from 2-4pm.
Poetry and Music Circle meet second and fourth Monday of each month from 4.15-5.30pm
ESOL Classes (English for Speakers of other languages) facilitated by Longford Westmeath Education Training Board (ETB) are hosted by Lanesborough Library on a Tuesday evening at 7pm at Lanesboro Library during school term time (from September to May).
