Heritage Ireland 2030 Longford Consultation
About Heritage Ireland 2030
Heritage Ireland 2030– a new national heritage plan
Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Josepha Madigan, T.D. has launched a public consultation on the development of a new national heritage plan: Heritage Ireland 2030. This is a far-reaching and ambitious consultation to help guide heritage policy for the next decade and more.
The Minister wants the consultation to be as wide as possible and inviting the public, companies and organisations to submit their opinions on why heritage is important to them, as well as identify the challenges heritage faces and what they see as the key thing Heritage Ireland 2030 has to deliver.
The new national heritage plan, Heritage Ireland 2030, is a new and ambitious strategy for Ireland - that will value and protect our built and natural heritage for future generations. We are asking you to help shape this strategy, by sending in your submission by the 28 February 2019.

Have your say:
It is vital that the Dept. of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht hear your opinions. We are asking everybody to have their say through one of these five options. If any aspect of our heritage is important to your or to your organisation, (our history, language, archaeology, culture, traditions and customs, traditional and historic music, literary heritage, nature, waterways, walks, historic buildings to name but a few), then please let us know why, and what you think must be done to help protect it.
Everyone is encouraged to make a submission, no matter how short.
