This townland is situated on the southern shore of Lough Gownagh, and is opposite Innismore Island. The roads from Bunlaghy to Scrabby and from Edgeworthstown to Arvagh run through it.
It contains 493 acres. Parts of the eastern and western sides are bog; the remainder is arable and tillage, and contains the house and demesne of Frankford.
