This townland lies on the road from Abbeylara to Castlepollard, and is 1 mile N.W. of Cammagh Bridge, on the River Inny.
It contains 583� acres. The north-eastern, western and southern portions are bog and comprise about half of the townland. The remainder is arable and pasture land. In this townland are a house and a demesne, called Newgrove.
