This townland lies on the west side of the River Inny. It is surrounded by the townlands of Agharra, Agharra Glebe and Ardanragh in Agharra Parish; Kinard in Rathreagh Parish; and Emper and Ballynacarrow in the parish of Kilmacnevin.
It is the property of the Countess Dowager of Ross, held by deed for ever. It contains 336� acres, about four-fifths of which are cultivated; the remainder is bog. It pays �15 1s. 10d.to County Cess. It has one Trigl. Station, and two villages, Lissawarriff and Agharra. The road from Legan Village to Ballinacarrow Bridge passes through it.
