In the N.E. extremity of the parish. Bounded on the N. by the tds. of Farrangarve Kilgarve in the Co. Cavan; E. by Lisraherty; W. by Drumhalry and by Rosduff in Columbkille Ph.; and S.W., S. and S.E. by Lough Gowna. Contains 760 acres, including 12 acres of water.
The greater portion of this td. is arable and grazing land with small portions of bog. It includes White Island, Ash Island, and 3 other islands, all situated in
Lough Gowna. The road to Cavan from Ballinalee passes through it, and at the N.W. there is a small lough. It contains one Trigl. Station, 3 ancient forts, and a school near its centre.
