Ballymahon Library

Recently refurbished, Ballymahon Library is a former courthouse building. The historic surroundings allow members to enjoy a welcoming and unique atmosphere. With many books on offer, there is plenty of comfortable seating areas, along with a children's area, computers, magazines and newspapers, all on the first floor of the building.

The second floor houses a large community hall, which doubles as a local studies room, complemented by two smaller meeting rooms.

Ballymahon Library was County Longford's first My Open Library, allowing the library to offer extended opening hours for My Open Library members. Members can access the library from 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week, year round with regular staffed hours continuing on the normal opening hour schedule to ensure optimum delivery. Contact Ballymahon Library to enquire about Open Library Membership.

Ballymahon Library also offers eduroam. This is a WiFi service which enables students, researchers and employees from participating institutions to securely access the internet at their college or university and whilst visiting other participating institutions.
